MatchID is a comprehensive Digital Image Correlation (DIC) system that offers powerful tools for high-resolution imaging, real-time monitoring, deformation and strain analysis, material testing, numerical simulation, and vibration measurement.
While the Basic Edition introduces the core applications, the Advanced and Customization Editions expand capabilities with high-speed and multi-camera imaging and analysis.

MatchID Applications | Advanced Edition

In the standard edition, we introduce an overview of the utilization of high-speed cameras for vibration tests and drop tests, which cannot be captured by slow cameras used for shooting and analysis.

Digital Image Correlation (DIC) MatchID Equipment | High-Speed Cameras

For high-speed applications, MatchID seamlessly integrates all available camera models through a dedicated high-speed grabber. This allows anyone to easily acquire high-speed DIC data. To perform DIC measurements with the shortest exposure time, high-speed cameras require high-brightness LED solutions with various beam angles.

Digital Image Correlation (DIC) MatchID Equipment | Infrared Cameras

The Digital Image Correlation (DIC) MatchID system can simultaneously record DIC measurements and temperature in full-field. By using a special calibration plate for temperature measurement, thermal data can be directly mapped onto the DIC field. This resolves the challenges related to the coordinate systems of DIC measurements and thermal data. Approaching technical issues from both temperature changes and shape deformation allows effective feedback for manufacturing, material development, and design. MatchID Applications | Customization Edition

In the customization, we introduce an overview of the utilization of multi-camera systems, which synchronize more cameras for capturing images, compared to DIC using 1-2 cameras.

Digital Image Correlation (DIC) MatchID Equipment | Multi-Camera Systems

A single stereo setup (using two cameras) may not achieve the required precision and results in the following cases:

  • 360-Degree Measurement (Tanks, Containers, etc.)
  • Large Structures (Wind Turbine Blades, Concrete Beams, etc.)
  • Back-to-Back Measurement (Measuring both sides of flat test specimens, etc.)

Using MatchID’s breakout unit, you can extend the standard stereo setup to a multi-camera configuration with serial synchronization. In a typical desktop setup, up to six cameras can be controlled, but using MatchID Grabber’s master-slave model allows synchronization of multiple desktops, removing the limitation on the number of cameras. To streamline the calibration process, we also provide double-sized calibration targets.
